This week I traded in my home made green strat with humbuckers for a vintage p type bass.I was sick of doing bass lines using octaved down guitar:( For a budget bass these are actually pretty good,the wilkinson parts are first class,it's body is made from poplar,so no cheapy wood,the neck is fat old school and the pick ups are fairly beefy.Last week I got a fender gold lace sensor from e-bay for 15 quid plus 5 quid p and p from the states and recieved it within a week!:woot:
I decided I wanted a vintage sound to my strat,thus the gold, so I replaced the blade humbucker with it.I put together this demo using just the strat and my new bass in about 3 hours tonight,using my ashdown for both bass and dirty guitar,miked up with a shure sm57( no more cab sims for me!!:lmao: )

Just gone over to using nuendo instead of cubase sx 3,not much difference but I like the interface.Just miked up the cab,plugged the mike into my ultra gain pro and out into my soundcard, and played away.The drums are ezdrummer that I programed after putting down the riffs.The sound is eqed abit and finished off with a bit of ozone 3.:)
