Some great movies on that list, but only a few I'd pick personally.
Just "Unforgiven" and "High Noon". I like all the rest, and have seen them, but there's a few that I like better.

"Pat Garret and Billy the Kid" with James Coburn, and Kris Kristofferson (with a cool role by Bob Dylan) is a badass movie.

So is "Once Upon a Time in the West" with Charles Bronson, and Jason Robards, Claudia Cardinale, and Henry Fonda.

I'm with you on "Pale Rider" as well.
Speaking of Clint, "The Outlaw Josie Wales" is way up there for me too.

For the comedy stuff "My Name is Nobody" with Terrence Hill, and Henry Fonda. has to be mentioned, and "Blazing Saddles" for that matter.

How about "Tombstone"? If for no other reason that Val Kilmer's absolutely unforgettable portrayal of Doc Halliday.

"The Man Who Shot Liberty Vallance" with James Stewart is a classic in my book also.

I'll always watch "The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly" whenever that comes around. Love that one.

Perhaps not a true Western, but I like "Dances with Wolves" as well. Also, credit to "Little Big Man." That was excellent!!

Classic!!! I love that one, and the other few spaggetti westerns of that trilogy? (not sure). First westerns where women armpits (and who knows what else) actually smelled liked it was supposed to in that environment and at that century (so to speak), not like those fancy hair-do´s actresses had in the fifties´films. Lee Van Cleef was a mean guy for sure! 3 words/hour dialogue! Now we´re talking shit! :lmao:

A couple on that list I haven't seen yet. Cat Ballou is a must see, hilarious, Lee Marvin and the horse both drunk leaning against the wall is what I'll always remember from that flick.

.....How about "Tombstone"? If for no other reason that Val Kilmer's absolutely unforgettable portrayal of Doc Halliday.

Yep I agree I haven't been able to stop quoting him since it came out, nor has anyone else it seems. That alone should count for something. I think it's maybe still a little too modern for the people who make these lists up to consider or something, the average age of the movies on that list looks like around 50, but that one should be on there imo.

what!!!????? No One Eyed Jacks??? The first western that debunked the myth that gunfighters played fair - its a tour de force by Brando and Karl Malden!
