I recorded this at the end of last year ( the last edit was December anyway) and didnt post it. I was spring cleaning today and found it and thought why not? Without boring the pants off you, i tried to get a dream like senario where everything in the dream is going fine, (the drone like rhythm is the everyday hum drum thoughts and the lead is the dream) then things start to go a bit weird, not like a nightmare but confused maybe ( this is where the panning and reversed guitar comes in), then everything settles back down again. Perhaps im the only one that this happens too. Anyway im still not sure about it but, let me know what you think. Its all acoustic direct into my audio interface with some brush drum loops. Cheers all.

Dreams can be very odd things can't they, i don't dream that often, but when i do, the strangest things go on  , so i definately get where you're coming from with the song, the reversed section in the middle definately reflects that dream-like state, and was very interesting to listen too, enjoyed it too :thumb:

Cheers Avalon, yeah i dream some completely random things sometimes and the random stuff always pops up right in the middle of a perfectly good dream. Thanks for the listen:)

Very Day dreamer quality to this song it would make a good piece to use for a Photo montage with windows picture maker.Did you pan the guitar in stereo i thought for sure i could hear the lead part swirling from ear to ear.I bet you used your goldtop Les for this one....it just has the sound of a paul in the middle, or rythem pickup:guitar: selector.

Cool unique song.

Hey Parker, thanks for listening and commenting mate. Yep you're right, it was the Goldtop with the pick up switch in the middle. Good ears! What you hear is a cool plugin in i have called Round Pan it gives the effect of the sound swirling round. Theres also a little sound right at the end of the track to close it out (blink and you'll miss it) i put a phaser plug in on an empty track in my recording software and left the audio run a few seconds longer and it gave that 'swooshing' sound.

Cheers again Park, much appreciated.:thanks:

I definetly dig where your coming from on this one mate , i often dream about things i know and things i don't , strange thing is tho some of the things i do dream about come true , just a shame more of them don't but hey thats life :).. i think this flowed lovely and gives you a sense of floating as it progress's through the song , the middle part feels to me like your flying gently but theres like something bending reality slightly which gives you a feeling somethings not quite right but it settles back down and you continue on with your journey of tranquility
Failing that , the above could be the ramblings of a crazy person lol  .. haha still nevertheless a fine piece of music which i throughly enjoyed , 5 stars mate :headbang:

sounds like this could be developed further..maybe strings or summit, its a nice tune..needs to be worked on. if i dream i fall from a height, i wake up just before i hit the deck.

if i have a rude dream, i wake up just before the vinegar stroke....bastard!

regards,
jim.

Mate, i think you just explained it better than me lol!! Thanks for the listen and comments really appreciated. Its the only piece of music ive done where i had the whole idea before any music (usually i have a riff or a chord progression and build around it).

 mmm that sounds familiar! Thanks for the feedback Jim. Never done any strings wouldn't really know where to start but always looking to improve. I keep everything that i post in its 'final' state in my software so i can always work on things again. :thumb:
