Here is an SRV song i am currently working on and did this noodle on my Strat.I know its not exact or even close to SRV's great version but thought i would put it up for others to see where the chord lines go.I will also post the actual chords later if you are interested in this song.

Straight onto the video cam.One day i will learn how to run a line into the camera for better sound.

I did a cover of this and it sounded REALLY unconfident as I had a job with the chords...lead stuff was ok-ish but I was really nervy trying to get my hands around these 13th chords (I think). Sounded good matey. If I ever get a valve amp it'll be a 4 x 10 Peavey Classic. Tried one once and it growled whereas I tried a 1 x 12 one and it was pretty placid. :thumb:

That was excellent sounded very SRV to me..Very cool to watch you approach this so effortlessly and you pull off these suerb SRV licks...

My version sounds a little tentative too but that was mainly due to the fact that it was late at night and i couldnt really dig in or i would have woke up the whole house:zzz: .So i am a tad cautious in my volume in this video.

But the main demonstration was to show that it is really not that hard of a song to pull off once you get past those funky finger contorted sas chords. And its a good tune to impress the :boobies: .

P.S thanks Macman, you are always so gracious in your comments and your a hell of a player as well from what i have heard!.

Beautiful execution Parkie-Park... I wish I could do all that twiddly widdly stuff. Like in this one and in Castles made of Sand by Hendrix. Dont know where to start.

Twiddly Widdly.............:lmao:

I gues that makes sense ,i used to call string scrapes "Wicca Chicka's" call wikopedia i think we just found a new term.

Wikopedia: The Twiddly Widdly first came to prominence with Jimi Hendrix and his voracious yet provactive manipulation of the first three strings on his guitar Thus creating the newly discovered Twiddly Widdly /::< Note: Not to be confused with the wicca chicka or the Keerrraannggg that was made popular by Pete Townsend.

Thanks Hanz
You always have a way with words:thumb:

i can just see glimpses of equipment in the background but it looks like you have way too much stuff. what do you own a music store or something. looks like my house used to untill my wife found out what it was worth. why do you need all those guitars? how many amps do you need. you want to buy what? i'm sending her to your house. lol. so... anyway.....you make that look easy and i know damm well its not. nice playing and beautifull tone.

Thanks again Sky

There is something liberating about playing completely clean with just single coils and an amp.I would say that about 95% of the time i play i use overdrive or distortion like most players do.But you forget how nice a Fender can really sound with nothing more than being plugged straight into a tube amp.
