Hey everyone , got alittle something abit diffrent here with this song , its of Blackmores Night , Shadow Of The Moon album , possibly one of my favourites of there out of the vocal songs :) .. so with that in mind i had a bt that Jamie( Av) built for me awhile back , so i asked him if he would update the bt and he certainly did , Jam also played the bass for me on this aswell , cheers bro :)
Then i was thinking well i really can't sing this myself ( i mean theres only so many BN songs i can murder with my vocals lmao :lol:) , so i remember hearing NightAngel (Laurie) singing on her collabs with Bearman and i thought ahh i reckon Laurie would sing a BN track perfectly , so i asked her if she would like to sing this and she kindly agreed , well all i can say is i wasn't wrong about her sounding terrific on a BN song , cos she really sung her heart out on this and i really couldn't of asked for it any better , so a big thanks to you Laurie , your a star :hug:
Finally i did all the acoustic guitars and Jam n myself put on our brown hoods, did the monks in the background aswell lol :lol:.. i mixed all the bt/ guitar parts , a big thanks to Bearman for mixing Laurie's vocals and the overall mix , cheers mate :)
Was a real pleasure working with Laurie and Bear , then ofcourse as always with Jam , so a massive thank you to you all :hug:

vocals, the bruv's sounded perfect for monks lol, lauries vox are fantastic for BN, i can think of a few tracks where she would leave candice for dead :)

The quality is so superb. Laurie does a fantastic Candice, great to hear you do this style of work Laurie:bowdown: . Jamie the backer was superb as was Bass playing:banana: . Mart the guitarwork and mix etc sublime:banana: . Mart and Jamie terrific work on those monk style vox also.:)

Once again loved this, I have been eagerly awaiting this collab and great to hear it...Straight to iPod for me...

Thanks for the kind words guys, i didn't really do to much on this really, the BT i'd made many many moons ago, i just updated a few things and added real bass, then hummed like a monk for a couple of mins :lol:

First up, the tune is familiar, but its bugging me that i can't quite place it. Anyway, outstanding vocals from Night Angel ( as have all the vox you've done with Bearman). Top quality bt Avalon as usual!! I now see where your classical / neo classical stuff fits Mart! Its just my ignorance to this type of acoustic playing. Outstanding mate.:thumb:

As a strictly impartial party [NOT!], I have to say this really turned out superb. Jamie's backer was brilliant, and Mart's guitars are terrific. Laurie fell in love with this song the first time she heard it and couldn't wait to do the collab with Mart, who is a proper gentleman and a talented individual to say the least. Neither one of us were that familiar with Blackmore's Night, but I remember checking out previous posts that Mart had done a while back, thought they were awsome. I went back to listen to them again but I guess he's had to make room for other songs 'cause they ain't there no more :bigcry:

Unbelievable!, this is just an amazing cover (even if I don't know the original), NightAngel's vocals are absolutely superb, along with the backing vox by you guys and the whole backing track. This is professional stuff, I'm beginning to sound like a broken record listening to you guys. Another hit, hats off to you all!...:)

I hate Blackmores Night . The thought of this great man messing around with piss pot riffs in areas already covered by those much more capable . Oh how it pisses me off .:maddance:

But i still check his tunes out from time to time . Night Angel is clearly in a league of her own . Absolutely stunning . Acoustics all play with finesse . Well done everybody involved . I did enjoy listening , as it takes some work putting stuff like this together .

i saw a concert of blackmores night on tv a while ago so i kind of know what it is but not overly familiar with the songs. i would have to say that if i wasn't told it was you guys i would have believed it was the origional. it is amazing to me the quality of everything including the mix. very professional and studio quality. laurie was just incredable along with the bros.. along with arts comments i did find it a bit disturbing to watch blackmore dressed up as a minstrel playing and dancing like he was in the camelot band in montypythons holygrail.

LOL, I have to aggree with eamon7, it was a little disturbing. I couldn't picture Eric Clapton or Jeff Beck doing that..Elton John maybe.....I do like Blackmore's Night though and I respect what they're doing.

I think that I would have mixed the vox a bit more prominently. Don't be shy; this angel can sing. Maybe give her a bit brighter EQ or something. She sounds a little dull and distant.

Otherwise, this is a masterful rendition.

dont know this song, but guys, that was friggin epic , a sure fire 5 if ever there was one.
