Ok . After toying over various ideas and not really settling , myself and John decided to opt for a less is more comp . All you have to do is simply plug in your guitar and play along to the backer using as fewer notes as possible . Simple really , but , making those notes really count ! .

So its not about carbonising that board . Its more like hitting seldom and creating spaces .

The only backing i could find suitable was a track by Freddie King . I wanted to avoid Floyd backers , but its ok to Gilmour over this track i guess . The quality is not brilliant , but its workable , and should provide a nice blank canvas for your twiddlings .

Have fun ........................... and EASE OFF THE GAS ! :chucks:

Edit:
Ava here, just to add the closing date for the comp will be Monday the 21st of July, so all entrys in by then, and the Poll will run for 7 days after that.

Its all about holding back . Think of early Peter Green , Jeff Beck . Im not suggesting you guys turn off 7 cylinders and use just one . Im asking us all to ease back feel the vibe and check out the grey area that lies between A and Z .

So this is more about bends, vibrato, feel. ? It doesn't automatically have to be like all blues scale riffs so to speak right?
