Here's a song about my early relationship with a girl which was scuppered by her parents because i came from a piss poor family & they were'nt having any of it!..They actually were a family that was falling to pieces as the lyrics will tell you all..They were no better than us..in fact they were worse off than me in every sense of the word..It's a true story..please take my apologies for the very strong language in the song...but it's all true

Well your music just gets better and better . The thing that instantly caught my attention was the delayed Acoustic , or the way you played the second Guitar back a step . It really adds a very tasteful dimension . Top Marks !.
Its quite astounding how much you have come on Mac , and i know your time is always at a premium , im truly blown over by your compositions .
My only suggestion would be to have the last couple of words in each chorus appear smack in the centre of the mix , i think it would drive home those ending words and just sound clever .
Mac , well done you on what is clearly your best work so far :) :) :)

Cheers Art....i think thats what it needs when i play it back now!..Last week Francis Dunnery told me of the trick with "Doubling" a second guitar..all i did was copy/paste the original guitar to another stereo track..but the trick is..(he does this on his stuff as well)...you add a 30mil/sec delay to the new track you've pasted.sometimes the human hear can't really hear it ..it so subtle.. ..sometimes it creates the desired effect..i used a delay which i have'nt got to grips with at the mo ...i think i let it drag on a bit ..too much feedback... ..but it worked in a fashion!..I've sent it to Frank for his comments
...thanks for your input it's much appreciated!..I'm away for 2 weeks offshore tommorow & Paul i aint forgot about you!
Cheers

I'd love to watch her reaction if she listened to this! Ha.
Lyrics are excellent - Chorus has a real hook.
When you gonna ask me to do the industrial sounding drums on that song about your Dad?

Thanks everyone for your kind replies...i think i have about 14ish songs ready to be mastered now..I'm gonna ask Arty (BP) if he'll oversee the final mixing etc as he's a genius at this stuff..I'll get Hans to do my "Industrial stuff" on the drums on one of the tracks & take it from there.I havent heard anything else from Francis Dunnery & Aquarian nation..but i wait in hope.A local folk singer called "Vin Garbutt" (BBC Radio 2's live act of the year 2007) has heard my stuff & is impressed as he does folk songs about our area in the same kinda vein..just put his name into "youtube" & have a butchers..different to me entirely but as a folk singer he is awesome....I've got 2 songs in the British songwriting comp of the year & the results are out in August...so fingers crossed i might get it onto CD yet!
many thanks & it's all down to Guitarblast & you people for the help, advice & positive comments
Cheers
