Stephen Stills has discovered a long forgotten album that he recorded with Jimi Hendrix, and he’s apparently preparing it for release.
Contactmusic.com reports that Stills’ bandmate, David Nash told the Las Vegas Sun that the album had been found in a stack of material at his house.
The album was apparently recorded around 1970, shortly before Hendrix’s death. According to Nash, Stills recorded everything around this period and somehow had simply forgotten about this particular recording.
"He has an enormous history of recording. In the '70s, he was a recording fool,” Nash told reporters. “He just found a bloody album he made with Hendrix. We've got to listen to that... I want to listen to every track he ever recorded in case he recorded with Al Jolson."
Nash and Stills are currently cleaning up the tapes for release.
