So...has anyone got to see The Dark Knight yet? I've got my tickets for tomorrow. However, if you have seen it, is it any good? Lol, I'm guessing it's a least sort-of good seeing how it's listed as the top movie of all time over at IMDB (narrowly beating out The Godfather):
http://www.imdb.com/chart/top
Anyways, how would you rate this movie (please no spoiliers!)
I'm actually going to see it tommorrow myself :) I just read where it beat out the one day box office of all time, which Spider Man 3 had the record before, but not anymore, lol. There predicting it will break weekend box office record, and i'm gonna say it will myself.Enjoy the movie!!

It is online already but the quality of the pictures is pants. I'd much rather see the real deal.

If they want The Joker in the next film for any reason, even briefly to sort of clear up any reason why he won't be the main bad guy in it... they could use this guy. Joseph Gordon-Levitt... looks just like Ledger, if he put on a little weight and stuff... who knows lol.
They couldn't possibly use Joker as the main villain in the next film though, Heath's performance of him needs to be given time to settle firmly into legendary status without being tarnished by having another actor play the part for a full feature so soon afterwards. But really, the similarity between the two is striking.

Wasn't he Roseanne Barr's kid?
Danny

It's the kid from 3rd Rock From The Sun is pretty much the extent of what I know about him. There is a video of him somewhere in a suit with Ledger style Joker makeup on, reciting a seemingly profound peice of poetry.
Man was this movie outstanding:bowdown: Probably the best super hero movie to date:) I have to say Heath was THE JOKER end of! I recommend everyone seeing this film. It will be very very hard to replace him,i dont think noone can.

Ledger's portrayal of The Joker makes Nicholson's almost laughable in comparison. Ledger will get a posthumous Oscar for this portrayal I'm sure. This movie kicks serious ass and is worth every penny.

Can't wait to see this...but will prolly get it on DVD rather than go to the cinema. Don't fancy seeing it in french or german with or without subtitles.
What the heck has Bale been doing? Beating up his mum and sister in the Brit Premier After-Party???

Sadly, the way the world is today, even if this is a complete fabrication or blown out of all proportion, this could still be a disaster for the guy. People tend to believe this kind of stuff is true the minute it hits the headlines.

Saw it, was really quite something. I'd easily give it 9/10. It isn't quite Godfather or Blade Runner style masterpeice territory but it's freakin close. I was actually surprised there wasn't more of The Joker... he was in a good amount but I'd have loved more. Super film, worthy of the hype and the priase regardless of Ledger having died or not.

Saw it for a second time, was even better. It's still not perfect, but my god it's got alot of great ideas and isn't afraid to throw most of them out of the window HOLLYWOOD style. It's intelligent and morally questioning but not to the point of being an irritating artsy film. The action is great and the dialogue even better.

IMO it is hands down the best Superhero film to date and that is saying a lot coming from this huge Spidey fan

can't wait for my chance to see it. great to know so many of you loved it and that its worth the hype. i agree with levitt and ledger looking a lot alike. they were both in the movie 10 things i hate about you (it should have been called 10 things i hate about this dumb movie) and i remember thinking that they could pass for brothers

Loved it, so did my boys (10 and 12). Ledger was truly outstanding, which makes his loss all the more painful.

Allow me to correct a mistake in my previous post, since the EDIT function seems to last all of 10 minutes here.
What I said originally:
"It's still not perfect, but my god it's got alot of great ideas and isn't afraid to throw most of them out of the window HOLLYWOOD style."
What I meant to say:
"It's still not perfect, but my god it's got alot of great ideas and doesn't feel pressured or forced into throwing most of them out of the window the way HOLLYWOOD usually does."

Well that's hardly any change at all Mr. Perfectionist. You just had to come back and fix that because the semantics in the first comment was not quite 100% perfect upon further inspection and so it bugged you all day right? :moon:

Told yer he'd be back.
Looking forward to this film, but I haven't watched Batman Begins yet ! It was on Sky the other night, and I Sky Plussed it. However, it didn't have subtitles, so I deleted it.
I'll grab it someday, prob when it makes it's way to ITV !
Do I need to see Batman Begins first, or can you enjoy this film on it's own merits ?
Danny

You can enjoy it on it's own but I highly advise you to watch Begins first. Well worth watching... why you need subtitles for it I've no idea.

Well honestly Dave, someone is on a music site, plays guitar in the chat room and does a bit of recording. The first thing that comes to ones head isn't "well, that person MUST be deaf" you know ?. Sorry to hear that you are though mate. Will avoid patronising you about it though lol.

I have a knack for climbing out of holes I dig myself into. Wouldn't Rowlings initials be JKR ?...

Hmm,
'Appen I might have to go and see this one whilst I am "working from home"...
:notme:
p.s. Danny, I've mentioned it a fair few times on here before now, in fact, I always thought I'd mentioned it enough times for it to be annoying, but, I guess it all depends on what threads you read, huh ?
:dunno:
But why you do you think I like Van Halen so much ? It's the only stuff I can FUCKING WELL HEAR, ya know !
:lmao:

Never read it before mate, I only pay attention to a select few threads. That's when I am actually here lol, which I haven't been properly for a while.

Went to see Dark Knight today, i gotta say it was excellent, the story, the acting all top notch, probably the best film i'll see this year (unless the new Bond film is really good).
If u liked Batman Begins, you'll love this :)

I obtained a "Cam" version of this (as a test of course...from a friend...who lives in outer space for the DMCA folks...:)), and it completely ruined the experience for me. Probably would have kicked ass at a good resolution and with good sound.
I deleted the file at about 1/3 way through, but it seemed very interesting. :)

There are a number of bad quality cam versions online (www.alluc.org has many I believe) but I managed to find a very good quality picture even at the fairly large size that it was. Then of course I went and saw it at the Odeon cinema in the city. Great movie, worth going to see. Honest.
