Day off so decided to record something before I embark on some 'Chinatown'! Tried to keep this as mellow as possible. Fade-out is noisy on the audio side for some reason? :dunno:

Nice to see they let you out of the dark and dingy studio into the daylight every now and then. ;)
The Morse is looking and sounding tastey too. Harmonics look effortless. I know you've commented on how this sustains, and you demonstrate it in this vid. But I'm talking about the instrument and not your playing...so without further ado...
Really nice runs ... did you write the backer for this? I like! Love that low E at 3.36 followed by the dive at 3.42. Such great tone! Great post! Making it look easy as usual.

Thanks mate...really missing a trem on this song! One of my students fell in love with the sound and bought a trem version. I'm trying to wrestle it from his grasp everytime we have a lesson! :) The backer was done by somebody else I'm afraid...one I've picked up over the last few years.

Yes actually I was surprised when you bought it that you didnt go for a trem option. But I guess a bargain like that was rarer than rocking horse doo-doo so you don't quibble about the details. You could always fit one after unless you want to keep it original to hold its value.
The Peavey HP Special CT is almost insight...just a few more pairs of shoes to buy the missus and I will have clearance to buy! I got a D tuna ready and waiting for it too.

Yeah, I had to grab it as I wasn't seeing too many at that price. The trem option is about £250 more new so I think I'll just stick to the two wolfgangs and the EVH which all have trems. In fact I think I'll do something with the EVH soon...once I've restrung it!
Good news about the HP mate. Be interested to hear what it sounds like compared to a Wolf.

Extremely sweet command of the fretboard Chris. I like the backer as well and sounds a lot of fun to play with.Sweet spot on the tone and loved the continuity. Awesome. :)

Resurrected!
Excellent me ol' mate!! Soulful ... but still hott hott hottt!!
Notice you seem to be using your middle finger to anchor your forefinger against the pick ... is this some new Wato technique to improve finger grip (oo-err), or my peepers on their way out? :naughty:

It gives me a better grip when I'm fast picking mate. By evolution rather than a conscious effort to change my grip. Thanks for re-opening the case book on this dead thread, :thumb:
Fantastic bends and lots of them! Also a lot of really nice arpeggiated runs. :thumb:

Great Stuff Wah you really have a captivating style to your soloing reminds me of Steve Lukather and a bit also like Paul gilbert interesting and fun to watch you play.
The way you approach your run's is very different and melodic.I am going to watch this about 100 times and grab a few of those lick's:drool: Thanks for posting this.

well that was certainly some beautifull playing. very smooth. with the video we get to see the rock and roll facial expressions too. that guitar does have a lot of sustain. it really helps when doing something like this to have a little extra time before it fades to make the vibrato pronounced. overall just some beautifull playing

Cheers mate. The guitar really does help take the hard work out of ballads. I don't need to turn the monitors up too loud to get that sustain but it sounds better just on the edge of breaking up I think. Wish I'd kept that bloody Jackson with the sustainiac tho...that was mega-fun. :thumb:
