Both bloody excellent so kudos to you both for the fact you did good work. I listened VERY closesly and neithe of you put a foot wrong BUT I go for guitaral because the tapping section moved up more like the original whereas Murph didn't sound as smooth. Hope you get what I mean...been playing and doing this solo forever! :yourock: SO bloody close tho!

Nice job guys! Went with Guitaral, as wah said, his just flowed better!
I was fully prepared to come to this thinking MuRpH was going to walk away with this hands down.....and was pleasantly surprised to hear TWO amazing solos!!!! Guitaral.....INCREDIBLE job bro!!! Really sizzling tone for one...very close to Randy for sure..and playing was scary close!!! Very fluid!! And MuRpH, well...EVERYTHING i expected and more from you!!! Huge, thick tone...phenominal playing....and just enough separation of the notes on the picked parts, to sway me over. Very clear and distinctive. So MuRpH for me.....but truly two VERY incredible takes on a classic solo!!!!  :boobies:

okay, we should have names of the peeps who voted. i think that way we can get some well-deserved criticism, because i think both of the solos kicked. MuRpH's was better, though - had a professional sound, plus all i heard in mine were errors.:p

Going with Al for this one...both were excellent but Al's playing was clearer to my ears in his version. Both were killer though.
But then its too late to vote anyway... sigh

and i'm 3 in the hole because of it. lol! :toothless: :p hey, jimmerwoo, that was recorded with the painted guitar! plays great, but i bought this semi-gloss lacquer crap that sucks balls. it was a quickie, anyway - gonna buy a kit and paint it up REAL nice at my friend's dad's auto shop.
