Not sure how many guys in GB use these :headscratch: but here is a small Drum wav sample assortment . If you use Battery or whatever , just pop these in and compare until you find one you like . All are the real thing , some good ,some not so good , you can easy smooth out any rough edges by *subtly* adding re-verb and delay .One thing i can guarantee is that these will add realism to your compositions , and If this takes off i will pop up some more ...... .;) Maybe we could even start exchanging :thumb:

Cool stuff BP, thanks for posting. I have a bunch of these too, that came on with a set of CD´s named Beta monkey drums I bought a while ago, but I only use whole loops instead of fraction samples and fix them up in audacity. I suppose you use these substituting prefabricated midi drum sounds individually with these with some sort of assignment like sounfonts? It would be cool to know how to use them that way. Anyhow, I will post over the next days more as well :)

Yeah like i said i use Battery as my Midi drum sample play back machine for want of a better description . The very phrase sampler scares a lot of people off , so i guess they use the easier and simpler i guess loop system , but in reality using something like Battery is hideously easy . I may write up a run through for Battery , although I'm sure Goport did an excellent write up on this very subject back over in 101 , whatever , if somebody wants to know i will sort something out .

Well this is great! I looking into getting started with NI Battery. I'm using dfh Ezdrummer as of now and it sounds great but it's somewhat limited when it comes to wanting to use other sound samples.
Thanks for posting this!

I appreciate people have gigabytes of these things , however if we just popped up the wheat and left out the chaff then we could have some decent trading in the offing .

I could do it easy apart from one small problem , i use VST and not SX there is a difference but I'm not sure how significant it is . If i spent 4 or 5 hours doing a post and it was all in vain , i would kill myself . Goport is the man to see about this , he is away at the moment , so i will ask him about it when he gets back . If he is too busy , i will do it .

Art, I use the DXi version of NI Battery within Sonar, so I could come up with a tutorial for that specific program if the demand was there. PM me if you want me to go ahead :thumb:

We can't have enough tutorials, if you want to write something up that would be great. :)
Same goes for you Art. I am sure what you are doing and how you are doing it is just as in demand.

OK i started one tonight , but got severely bogged down :mad1: , dam this thing is harder than what you would ever imagine :headscratch: . I'm trying to make this as easy as pie but its not that simple , and i also know the recipients probably wont see things my way .
Still i should have something soon .:)
