Just looking through the sport section on yahoo and spotted that Amir Khan lost his first fight last night to colombian Breidis Prescott , he was knocked out after 58-60 secs , i must admit watching him fight right from the start of his career i thought he had a weak chin especially after his last few fights where his been put on his back due to having a glass jaw
Unfortunatley i didn't get to see his fight lastnight , lol funny really first match i don't watch him fight and he gets put down , typical :bigcry:
Heres the link for any of you who are interested in reading about it ,

Not sure if theres anyway forward for him now , i suppose there have been alot of champions that have had glass jaws but now ppl know he can't take a punch , they will prey upon that :chucks:
It was the same with Prince Naseem aswell , had a alot of fights with sootys but when he met a mexican in the ring he got sorted out well and proper , seems Amir has followed a similar pattern :(

Well Amir has been put against alot of weak opposition imo, and maybe its not done him any favours, i hope he learns from it and becomes far better for the experience, because he has alot of potential, but i guess we'll see come the re-match.

Yeah, just read this in the paper. Appears that the opponent wasn't that "big"in terms of potential either.
Kham had changed trainers in order to ensure that he could work on a defence and that trainer actually recommended that guy. Either the trainer couldn't train, or he bet big on the other guy -
Anyway, this is all out of The Mail, so it could all be a bunch of crap other than the fact Khan actually got beat.
Doesn't sound good, and echoes Nazim big style. Hope he does manage to come back, but it's a big defeat by a supposed nobody early on in his career.
Shame...
Seems he short changed the Sky viewers as well on his first pay per view fight.

then on the other end of the scale you get boxers with a great chin.
eubank! fuck i hated that ****, but what a chin!..tiz hard to lose when you have a fucking granite jaw!
nigel benn hit him with a corker...but the slag didnt budge!! must be soul destroying for someone like benn who could knock a horse sparko.

jim.

Aye, I hated Eubank as a person, but did enjoy watching him fight.
He's a nobhead, but I don't think I'd ever be in any rush to tell him so...

now that khans been seen not to be invincible, the'll be queueing up to punch him.
same as tyson...he won most of his fights before he threw a punch..opponents absolutely shitting themselves..scared to hit him in case it made him 'angry' lol.
but as soon as < insert forgotton boxers name here> whacked him, and showed his chin wasnt that good, they all fancied their chances.
remember richard dunn, our heavyweight bless him..1 tap on the chops and he was spreadeagled LOL

jim.

Lmao , well im with Mondy he was good fun to watch fighting and for the best part of it he put in some blinding fights , its weird tho you don't seem to get so many psycho boxers in the ring as much these days where they will really destroy someone in a fight , alot of them are just dancing queens now
We need some back to basics good old sluggin fights
I hope the kid does get back up and try n work through it , its hard being put down but the true test of spirit is coming back from a loss and proving your critics wrong :devilchil:

Well i just saw (literally) the entire fight on Sky Sports News, and he really got put on his back well and proper, he vowing to come back and that he'll be a world champ in 12 months, but the lights went out both times when he got hit, and thats gonna take some coming back from.
