Sorry guys. I won't battle. Definitely not on vocals. Just seems wrong. I put that comment out on rjmjaj and Geordies vocal battle. I loved hearing them, but could not vote. I like the non-competitiveness here. Music in my opinion is to be enjoyed, not compared. That's my thinking. Appreicate the offer though. Thanks. :)

Yeah, that is kinda sacred ground that should not be trodden on. You could do a THREE TENOR type thing with JPF, 3fingers and ...uh...the other guy? -Never can remember his name. I'll do a Tuvan Throat Singing battle with anybody willing to take me on (with or without the a Mongolian fidele).:D

Hmm thats the thing , everyone has there strengths and weakness's, for me i would rather also just enjoy myself either with a collab or just music in general:)
Sometimes ppl get abit green eyed when a battle dosen't go there way, and start acting stupid, as we've seen over on G101 in the past.

i'm -30 in the hole, and i don't care. i lost to people who kicked my ass. now, if you put me against a monkey and HE won, then that's a different story.

Im not saying everyone acts like that m8, but some ppl think they have to prove a point to other ppl.
When the above happens then it isn't about fun anymore, its about winning and acting arrogant in the process.
All you have to do is look at the situation that arised on G101 about Verga, talking down to ppl like there something on the bottom of his shoe but the fact of the matter is he had to cheat and deceive ppl to be the best.
I know that nearly all you guys here are a friendly bunch , and shit like this dosen't bother you, but theres always a first time for everything sadly.
I think when some ppl see the word competition , there personality changes for it.

We got guys who can sing like Dio, Richard Marx, Sammy Hagar, Rob Halford (I'll let you work out who)...still looking for a Geoff Tate alike but I'm sure one of these guys could nail it down. Then we got an array of guitarists who can cover styles down to a tee...this would be good fun! We could always Barber Shop Quartet the chorus!!!

I'll go with you on that one, but I was more talking singers. That track, as 80's as it may be, has a stellar line-up of singers...I can remember these:
Dio, Dave Meniketti, Geoff Tate, Rob Halford, Paul Shortino, Don Dok...sorry I said stellar didn't I?!?!?! There's prolly more...Riff Addict, help me out here!

I like the idea of two 3 person teams doing an original acapella only. That would be ok with me..it's more colab in nature and it would seem sort of fun to do and it might be the only chance I get to colab with any of you guys on a vocal only thing. What do you think of that format?

In reality this sort of thing is rock solid , i dunno why it was suggested :dunno: , but i do believe it would make for a very amusing piece of Audio when complete .

Aye!! I feel the same way Uke. It's not something I am super comfortable with, but there should be a way to do it and still have fun.
