heres another one from me. a little rough in spots but who has time to re-do anything anymore. i used my gibson lespaul and my engl preamp. bass was direct using an art tube preamp. drums by steven slate. check it out.

This is actually something I wrote for my girlfriend. Spent nearly a week and a half or so to do, but got something decent down. She's not exactly a musician, but I think she has a pretty good voice... though I've still yet to record it.

I've been tempted to post it here but, seeing as she has yet to do any vocals for it, I haven't done so. BUT because I'm curious what others will think I'm going to put the instrumental up with the lyrics (mostly edited by me to give it more of a lyrical feel than a typical poem which would've required longer instrumentation. I wasn't feeling like writing a 6 or 8 minute long beast haha).

Just let me know what you gents think!

Hi Guys,

Here's a new one of my own tunes that I've just created. Just got myself a little Akai LPK25 keyboard controller (the smallest keyboard I've ever had!) so now able to play my own bass parts, keys and drums and back into writing my own stuff again.

I wanted to make a happier upbeat tune (as the Wife says my tunes are always depressin! - Charming Wife I have! lol) and stick to something simple and classic and this is the result. Must admit this one was fun to do, and had a blast recording it. My rig must be the smallest, cheapest rig around, just my little Akai keyboard, a laptop, a Pocket Pod and my strat, nothing fancy at all.

Anyways, hope you like it and any comments welcome.

A quick sketch of a song recorded sunday afternoon - the lyrics and vocals are temporary until I write something more mature. Probably won't do anymore on this demo though, it was made for the bass player and drummer in my band to get a feel for some riffs, but there's a few nice guitar runs so I thought Id post her up here.

Why? (Am I Alone)

Okay so instead of posting an intro thread I'll just post up an original. It seems a few guys I know/knew from across the way at another guitar forum are also members here! So they'll know me right away...

This is just something I wrote a bit ago, posted on youtube with a still-shot video, and what not. The vocals are completely ad-libbed because I was sitting on this instrumental for a few weeks. I don't think the mix is spot on where I'd like it but it sounds good enough to me on headphones and in my car.

Guitars used were a Gitano acoustic/electric for the clean-ish parts, the trusty Gibson SG II was used for the dirtier parts as well as for the eBow'd parts. Drums are EZDrummer's Drummer from Hell... and a Rogue bass was used as well. All guitars were run through Line 6 POD Farm.

Hopefully this is enjoyed and I can get some feedback on what to do to make this better, musically at least.
