Headstock glued back on the les paul.pics

Got it back yesterday. They used the correct resin so it now is stronger and seems to play better. They put on 10 gauge strings on it and I love them.bigger sound and better tuning stability. I may get some lacquer blown over the cracks to get rid of them later..but I quite like it having battle scars, gives it more kudos

There was a post years ago on the line 6 website to a vender of fake guitars that looked awesome and a user pointed out the gibsun and people rambled and the conclusion was that is how gibsons font looks.

I have included a pic for gibsons own website
    http://www2.gibson.com/Images/Produc...275&height=200

After a quick search on google I have seen some posts of people having Gibsun guitars which are really cheap china knock-offs wih the tinny buzzy pickups and loose frets etc...

My bet is the guitar is the real deal tho. No crooked peg placements

Thanks for explaining it Lippy. I've always been a Strat/Fender player. All the way back in the 80s (mental years) I played and still own an original Fender H-1 Bullet. I love that guitar. Strat body with a tele neck (maple). Thing rips with it's mini humbucker. But,.would like to get a Paul one day. I used to own a Les Paul studio at one point and loved it,.but had to sell it. Les Pauls IMO are a little heavy for gigging though. Then again, I'm an old fuck,..LMAO.

Ermmm...Yes it is a real Gibson ! It cost enough from a reputable dealer serial number checks out,it was made at the Nashville Plant, TN, USA,February 26th, 2007,Production Number: 76 .
The main problem with most Gibsons is that they try to make so many necks out of the same mahogany plank. What happens is the grain is perfect going straight through the neck, but that means when the headstock angles down, the grain is now going slightly angular, thus creating a big weakness. Now it has been bonded properly it will never happen again as the resin hardens the crack and make's it much stronger.
So ,in a way I'm glad it's happened now and got it over and done with.
By the way ,my vintage les paul and sg has fallen off the stand twice and nothing happened to them.
